DAY 01: Arrive Beijing
Arrive Beijing in the evening, the capital of China. Upon arrival, directly transfer to hotel for check in. No dinner arrangement. Free program.
DAY 02: Beijing
Begin the day’s activity with a visit to Tian’anmen Square, the largest urban square in the world, and the “Forbidden City”, the biggest palace complex in the world. In the afternoon, free shopping program. In the evening, watch the Acrobatic Show in the theater. (B, L, D)
DAY 03: Beijing
Today’s highlight is your visit to the Great Wall, one of the “Seven Wonders of the World” and a symbol of Chinese civilization. In the afternoon, visit the enchanting Summer Palace, one of China’s largest and best-preserved royal gardens. Then shopping at Ya Xiu Market. A Peking Duck Dinner concludes your full day activities in Beijing. (B,L,D)
DAY 04: Beijing-Shanghai
In the morning, visit the Temple of Heaven where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest. In the afternoon, take flight to Shanghai. Meet in the airport and heck in hotel. Free program. (B, L, D)
DAY 05: Shanghai
Full day visit to the fascinating Yuyuan Garden, a well-restored Suzhou-style garden, and take a walk through the Old Town filled with antique markets and specialty stores. And the Jade Buddha Temple. The temple got its name from the two jade statues of Sakyamuni, one seated and one standing, both brought from Myanmar. In the afternoon, visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, to have a bird’s eye view of the whole city. Then visit the Historical Museum. After it, visit the Bund, at the west shore of the Huangpu River. The splendid row of early 20th century Europe buildings remains the quintessential Shanghai sight. At last, go to visit Nanjing Road, which is Shanghai’s main shopping street and famous for its modern stores. (B, L, D)
DAY 06: Shanghai-Guilin-Yangshuo
In the morning, take flight to Guilin. Meet in the airport. Upon arrival, directly transfer to local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Reed Flute Cave, which is situated in a completely concealed spot on Guangming Hill, and is Guilin’s largest and most impressive cave. Its name is explained by the fact that reeds for making flutes and pipes have been grown in this region since ancient times. This dripstone cave is 790 feet deep, and a visitor will walk for some 550 yards through a zigzagging sea of stalactites and stalagmites in dazzling colors. It is also known as a Palace of Natural Art. Then transfer to Yangshuo, by coach (about 2 hours driving). Free program and overnight in Yangshuo. (B, L, D)
DAY 07: Yangshuo-Guilin
Today’s highlight is visit the Small Li River (Yangshuo to Yangshuo Portion), about 2 hours. Lunch is at local restaurant. Then transfer back to Guilin, by coach. And visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, which is the symbol of Guilin. (B, L, D)
DAY 08:Guilin-Shenzhen
In the morning, take flight to Shenzhen (only one morning flight daily). Meet in the airport. Upon arrival, directly have lunch at local restaurant. Then visit Splendid China & China Folk Culture Village. In the evening, watch singing and dancing show at China Folk Culture Village. (B,L,D)
DAY 09:Shenzhen-Hong Kong
After breakfast, transfer to the hotel in Hong Kong, by coach or ferry.
