Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive Gwalior

Welcome to Gwalior. You are greeted on arrival at Gwalior Airport/Railway Station and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a half-day city tour visiting the massive sandstone fort dominating the city skyline, the 9th century Teli Ka Mandir and the 11th century Sas Bahu Ka Mandir. In the evening witness the spectacular Sound & Light Show (entry on direct payment basis), where the history of Gwalior and its warriors is narrated. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 : Gwalior – Khajuraho

Early morning, drive to Khajuraho. Enroute visit Jhansi Fort. On arrival in Khajuraho, check into your hotel. In the evening witness the spectacular Sound & Light Show (entry on direct payment basis). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03 : Full Day Khajuraho Tour

After breakfast visit the Western Group of Temples and Eastern Group of Temples. Afternoon free for self activities. Overnight stay at hotel. Western Group of Temples: On the main road, beside the path leading to the Matangeshwar Temple is the A.S.I counter where you must purchase a ticket to visit the Western Group of Temples and the museum on the opposite side. A boundary wall surrounds and protects the temples within this large rectangular complex and there is only one entry point. Here you will see some of the most sensational temples in the world. Eastern Group of Temples: A kilometre towards the east from the Western Group of Temples is Khajur Sagar and the old village of Khajuraho. One of the paths to the village leads to a modern whitewashed structure housing one of the oldest Hanuman statues found in Khajuraho. The rest of the evening is at leisure to explore the local shops and market. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 : Khajuraho – Orchha

Today transfer to Orchha. Check in at your pre-booked hotel and get ready for the local sightseeing tour. Visit Orchha Fort Complex, Laxminarayan Temple and Raja Ram Temple. These are the major attractions of the town and offer a mesmerizing experience. After sightseeing, return to the hotel for an overnight stay. Orchha Fort Complex is a must-visit attraction with several magnificent palaces portraying stories of its glorious past. It is also the only place in India where Lord Rama is worshipped as a king and not as a god.
Day 05 : Orchha – Chanderi

Chanderi is a town of historic importance dating back to the rule of the Malwa Sultans and Bundela Rajputs during the 15th and 16th centuries. Surrounded by scenic hills, lakes and forests, it is famous for its exquisite Chanderi sarees and historic monuments. The town is also known for its Jain monuments, Chanderi Fort, Chanderi Museum, Jain palaces and beautiful lakes, making it one of the most preferred tourist destinations in Madhya Pradesh.
Day 06 : Chanderi – Bhopal via Sanchi

This morning you will visit the famous Sanchi Stupas. On the way to Sanchi, you will pass through several towns and villages. Located 46 kms northeast of Bhopal, Sanchi is renowned for having some of the finest and best-preserved Buddhist stupas in the world. The remains of Buddhist saints Sariputra and Mahamodgilya are also preserved here. The holy relics are displayed once every year during the annual Chetiyagiri Vihar Festival. Overnight stay at Bhopal.
Day 07 : Bhopal – Bhimbetka – Bhopal

Make sure your camera is ready as you are about to witness one of the world's finest examples of prehistoric art. Visit Bhimbetka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated south of Bhopal. It is home to the second oldest cave paintings in the world and showcases some of the earliest traces of human life in India. Surrounded by the Satpura mountain ranges and lush forests, the site offers both historical significance and natural beauty. Afternoon drop at Railway Station / Airport for your onward journey.
